It was the town screwing with us. Because, might I add, you brought one of those stupid flowers in with you. Like, it sucks it does crap like that, and I'm sorry, but it was a crappy time for everyone.
[Another pause. God. What does he even say to that? He's never had a girl tell him she likes him before. It's a nice feeling, a warm one. To say it's like butterflies in his stomach wouldn't be wrong. But he likes it.
And can't stop the feelings of guilt that immediately follow it.]
Because he doesn't know. There's still a girl he likes but he's given up hope of ever seeing her again. And deep down? He's had other crushes. But he just feels so damn about having them.
And in the end? He truly believes it'd be best if he diverted anyone who might like him away from him.]
Seriously. It was just the town anyway. Give it time and you'll see that. It's just it's after effects. It happened pretty recently.
[Yep. Only a month ago. That isn't a while at all.]
[ gasp did he just call her ears cute-- beside the point. ]
I didn't say that. [ She had said she liked him, as a friend, at least. ] This is just very confusing but I don't really think I can blame it all on the town at this point!
