Hey.

So, you know. I could shout and scream and rant at how people got suckered in by the town again, how I got suckered in again, how everyone got suckered in again by the town, but you know what? I actually have something more important to talk about.

Look. I dunno how many of you idiots heard, but there's a little kid here named Mindy. And, being a little kid, she thought she could fix everything by asking everyone coming together under the stupid Christmas Tree this town put up. She's just a kid, like eight or something, and so she thinks like a kid. And you know? As dumb as thinking that young is...she shouldn't have had what happened.

For those of you not in the know, some psycho killed her yesterday apparently and hung her corpse on the Christmas Tree. I don't know for sure, but I have a pretty good idea who that was, and if you'd like to have a talk with him I don't mind giving you a name and address for him.

...But she shouldn't have had what happened to her happen. Not even here, where half of us are psycho in some way anyway. A lot of us deserve to be here but she...she doesn't.

I'm not going to give her address out, not to most but...I guess what I'm asking is, if there's any chance I can get people to agree to maybe, I dunno, give her something small, like even a Christmas card or something I could give to her...I'd give it to her. The kid deserves at least that much for this bullcrap. She actually deserves a Christmas.




And you know? For what it's worth, even though I said I wasn't going to do it?

It was us the entire time. We weren't fakes. The town lied.

[Hey folks living at 945? There's a blue-skinned, twelve-year old boy knocking at your door, a Christmas package under his arm. He kind of has a gift for his little friend, and he's damned determined to get it to her and see how she is.]

[Action - Around Town]

[Pokey can be found slowly walking around town, a large spider-mech following him. What used to be commonplace until September has only now started up again, but whereas he used to ride on the mech with gleeful abandon, destroying and smashing anything in front of him for fun, right now the walk is....calm. Like a boy having his dog, who had been sick for a while and was just now recovering, very slowly follow him.

Pokey had been pushing Josephine to her limits the last few days. Now he felt he just needed to let her recuperate. And as she follows, he says small words of encouragement.]

That's it. Just a little more girl. That's good...

[There are few things a boy has more love for than his dog, even if his dog is a giant, monstrous mech.]

I already knew you'd say that. It was rhetorical. I wasn't doubting your ethics for a second. [ SUCH A NICE BOY.

As he continues on his tirade, Tsunade just basks in silence. Poison gas? Well, she's sort of a medic and she heal things like that, hopefully. But she's already experienced thousands of pounds worth of gravity plunging herself hundreds of meters below ground level. As long as her loved ones weren't getting injured, she can deal with getting poisoned and burned. She'd be alive the next day, right?

A scorched wasteland doesn't seem too fun, but she's already dealt with a leveled town, twice. Her days as a warrior and kunoichi had limits of supplies, and ninjas were meant to survive on whatever little you had. Cannibals, again, didn't seem like much to the hokage who thinks she could take them down. But the statement about the little brother seems to bug her the most. She already lost a brother to a blast. The corpse was mangled beyond belief.

The last part is a tad jarring, but she's already encountered evidence that the souls captured aren't what they seem. It was just a joke. Her confidence leans her towards stating that she could take on most, if not all of them.

All in all, if it wasn't for the dying brother, Tsunade most likely would still be siding that, to her, it doesn't compare to seeing her village and the people she loved and worked to make their lives as happy as possible slowly killed by some angry terrorist,t and then having her village leveled right after. Or the war horrors she had experienced in her earlier days. Or her little brother, her fiance, and her oldest friend all dying. But, she can recognized the strain in his voice and just how devastating this all is to him. With this, Tsunade makes a firm decision not to anger or engage him any further. It's an act of sympathy and kindness, rather than giving in though every last sound wave in Tsunade's voice seems to give off the impression that she's truly conceding. ]

Those are rather terrible things and no one should have to endure them. I didn't mean that what I already seen from the town would be the worst of what we saw. Man, this place sure is shitty. Tch, the second I get any of my real abilities back I'm going to dedicate every last effort into hauling our asses home. [ Well you can't really kill her feistiness. That is sort of her entire thing. ]

["Well maybe you should" is the first thing Pokey thinks to say, but he stops himself, is able to bite his tongue before he can say it. There's no hint of him recognizing what Tsunade is actually doing in the conversation. He just harumphs.]

Hm. Well, I've lead forces a lot larger than this entire town put together. Though it will take a little elbow grease but I'm sure if we synthesize and unite ourselves, the town will fall. It just varies on what your definition of soon is.

[ It seems like Tsunade's response ends there but a surprisingly softer tone decides to ask a more personal question. The serenity and hidden smile in her tone makes her seem like a different person from the tough and boisterous party girl still on the line. ] So, you have a little brother?

There were others before? Hm, maybe they just didn't have my legendary unyielding will and skills anyways. Or maybe Mayfield recognized them as threats and took care of them. Ah, well, I suppose it doesn't matter. With my luck, I may end up being the only one unable to return home after this thing anyways.

Hm. [ Twelve? That was the same exact as Nawaki. Her interest... sort of floats to him now. ] Well, do you have a birthday? What about your little brother, does he have one too?

Hm. I stated I wouldn't have the choice to return home, if you wish to stay here, that's perfectly fine with me. The only thing I'm doing is overthrowing some child's ass, and returning those that want to go home home. It's not my job to force other people to return to their own personal hell anyways. [ She knew the key would be having a choice the moment she saw Jiraiya alive again. She's definitely looking into just how they're reviving the dead but, if worse comes to worse and she can't revive anyone, she wants him to stay here so she can visit him every once in a while. ]
