In Which Pokey Gets To Work [Action]
[Well, that was an idiotic diversion he didn't have time for. Pokey hardly understood what possible point the Soviet event could have had aside from agitating the living hell out of him. It was a pointless excursion in suffering, and even he thought the reason people were being killed was more or less pointless. Of course, he still got off worse than all of those who even died; after all, he had to go back to school, an entirely pointless bit of drudgery for him.
Now that they were back in Mayfield, it was time for him to start getting a lay of the land. Getting as much paper as he could of any type and a few pencils, he headed outside to begin his slow, but necessary work. He'd start around his own house and street, drawing and graphing the surrounding area. Mapping the terrain was going to be necessary if he wanted to form a full plan for battle or action.]
[OOC: Throughout the day, Pokey is going to be going from house to house and street to street mapping the area. Feel free to confront him about what he's doing or how he's invading your privacy as he messes around on your lawn, in your backyard, in the trees near your house as he tries to peer into the second story to get an idea of whose their, ect. While this will mainly affect Ricardo Street, feel free to bump into him anywhere since this'll be affecting the entire town.]

... What else are ya puttin' on that map, 'sides locations?
no subject
Right now, primarily locations, though I'm trying to mark which houses have just drones, which have just us, the quota between the two, ect. I'm putting down any notable landmarks as well. I'm hoping to have a good idea of the lay of the land population wise so I can decide if there'd ever be any particular targets I need to get at.
If possible, I'd try and find the names of the people actually LIVING in the buildings, but that's less likely.

Ya could just go door to door and ask people, if ya really wanna know.

2x4 Technology?
[Oh, now they mention of technology has definitely peaked his interest.]
I suppose I could, but any drones I talk with would probably find it suspicious. And they're some of the last people I want knowing what I'm doing.
no subject
... I could help ya with that, actually. I'm... sorta in the business of goin' from door to door and askin' people for their names. ["oh please don't ask what it is"]

[He looks at her for a moment. Doesn't say anything. Just stares.]
What do you want in return?

[bullet = dodged]
A copy of your map'd be nice.

[This is one of the few fully honest boasts the boy is capable of. He's absurdly talented with technology and copying it once he can get start working with it.]
Fair enough.
[He thinks for a moment before holding out his hand.]
You're the Irish girl who was going on and on about how I was going to get myself killed. Frances, right?
no subject
[She hesitates a bit, then shakes his hand.]
Ya can take the one I've got now. Just call me when you're done with it.
no subject
That'd be me, though it wasn't luck. There are four main things I do, and survive is one of them.
Can do. Give me a few days and I'll have at least figured out how it works.
[He thinks for a minute.]
Out of curiosity, has there anyone around the town other than the drones or...whoever the hell is holding us captive that you would recognize as a...threat, is the best way to put it?

Zolf J. Kimbley.

How is he dangerous?
no subject
Kimbley used it to chop up some lady's hands.

He ain't the only one, though I doubt what I have planned would exactly be called bad
at least by his standards.Don't blame you there. That's simple survival instinct. I'll try and get it back to you as soon as possible. You got anywhere to stay that where he wouldn't know where to find you? Like a friend's house, or something?

... My "dad's" still got that rifle...
no subject
You using one is going to either break or dislocate your shoulder and/or arm. I've tried it.
no subject
[No, she's totally going to try shooting it and probably slam backwards through a wall.]

So are all the adults in your actual world as bad as this Kimbly jerkoff, or is he a whole new brand of bad that you've just been introduced to? Because I know his type.
[Only a little bit ago, he'd been close to his type. But he won't mention that.]

Never really cared for fathers much, anyway. Always could have done without mine. Not too fond of yours then, too?
