In Which Pokey Gets To Work [Action]
[Well, that was an idiotic diversion he didn't have time for. Pokey hardly understood what possible point the Soviet event could have had aside from agitating the living hell out of him. It was a pointless excursion in suffering, and even he thought the reason people were being killed was more or less pointless. Of course, he still got off worse than all of those who even died; after all, he had to go back to school, an entirely pointless bit of drudgery for him.
Now that they were back in Mayfield, it was time for him to start getting a lay of the land. Getting as much paper as he could of any type and a few pencils, he headed outside to begin his slow, but necessary work. He'd start around his own house and street, drawing and graphing the surrounding area. Mapping the terrain was going to be necessary if he wanted to form a full plan for battle or action.]
[OOC: Throughout the day, Pokey is going to be going from house to house and street to street mapping the area. Feel free to confront him about what he's doing or how he's invading your privacy as he messes around on your lawn, in your backyard, in the trees near your house as he tries to peer into the second story to get an idea of whose their, ect. While this will mainly affect Ricardo Street, feel free to bump into him anywhere since this'll be affecting the entire town.]

What are you doing, boy?

I'm making a map of the town in case there's ever any emergency or I need to plan something.
And I'm not just a "boy". I'm Pokey Minch. You'll be hearing my name a lot soon enough.
[He either doesn't notice Spy's injuries, or doesn't give a damn. It's hard to tell with him.]
OH JESUS THAT ICON
[You'll have to forgive him, Pokey, he's very leery of children.]
I regret to inform you, however, zhat emergencies pop up here so often zhat having a map will soon become obsolete.
Here's one where he doesn't look entirely evil
[Oh, he's hardly bothered by it. Pokey's damn near leery of everyone.]
I disagree. During an emergency is exactly why I want a map. It can't change the very design of the town EVERY time.

The people do become a bit more of a concern, however, when he ends up walking into them and knocking his stupid little ass to the ground.]
Hey! Watch where you're going, lady!

Yeah, you should. I could have lost all my work.

"Mapping the town, right? That's the first thing I did when I got here, too."

For pete's-it's a map of the town. Really, am I the only person who's had the idea to try mapping-

Yeah, he's just staring wordlessly, unsure if he should be running in fear or not at the moment.]

They might have some maps in the school... But then, this is Mayfield, they might be tricky and stuff. Like showing paths to Westport that don't exist. So I guess you've got a good idea.
no subject
Of course it's a good idea, I always have-
[Of course, crossing his arms causes the maps to fall out of his arms, the boy making a small hissing sound to keep from cursing as he picks them back up.]
I always have good ideas! And we naturally can't trust the maps given to us by our captors. Of course they're going to lie to us.
...Westport?
no subject
[But helps pick up his materials, handing them back over.]
And yeah, Westport. They pretend like there's so much out there, but we're all stuck here.

…hey. Need any help with that?
no subject
No. I know how to make maps. I've been doing it for awhile.
...Unless you know, like, secret areas around here no one else would know.
no subject
I've got a map myself, actually. I made one, and so did Mr. Mason before he... um, went home. I don't mind sharing copies, if you like. I figure it should be open knowledge to everyone who gets stuck here.
no subject
Sure mister. Wouldn't hurt. Just let me finish mine before I look through yours to compare to see what I might've missed.
no subject
And please, anything but "mister". My names' Calleo Crowe. Nice to meet you.

Gee, I dunno, what do you think? I'm making a friggin' map, you-
....Is that a bottle of mustard?

[She lowers it and tries to see what he's doing.]
Why're ya makin' a map? Why're ya makin' a map in my yard?
no subject
[He lets her see what he's finished so far. He's actually pretty good at it.]
That's a stupid question. I'm trapped in a hostile environment. Knowing the lay of the land is pretty important.
no subject
I don't see why ya'd need one. Everythin' looks exactly the same.
