Um... I guess the easiest way to describe them are monsters that can kill humans, but which we couldn't touch without using something called the Hilbert Effect.
KOS-MOS, the android I was working on, could use this effect and could also take them down with various different weaponry. We used a form of teleportation, though it's not exactly the same, to allow her to get certain weapons that would have been impossible to carry.
