He's hoping that knocking you off balance did something in this case to keep you from immediately phasing. He's hoping that trying to pin you to the ground won't really keep you there, but at least injure your leg.
Though, to be fair? Josephine isn't really the fastest, or the most subtle machine. Dodging it wouldn't be some amazing feat, though its behaving a lot more aggressive then usual. Even more then the first time he got it back when you saw it, Slugger.
And Pokey isn't laughing this time either. He means business.]
