Winter is For Snowball Fights

[Pokey may not be a Christmas person, but by God, he is most certainly a winter person.

Today if you're passing by the park, you can find the little psycho running around, building up a rather large mound of snow in front of himself. He doesn't appear to be doing much else at first, just diligently building that mound up which, considering he currently only has one hand to work with, takes some time and dedication. But he is just happy as hell to do it anyway, apparently, grinning the entire time. This is the (A) event you can feel free to catch him on.

Now comes some real fun with the (B) event. Now that his mighty little mountain has been constructed, it's time for Pokey to begin his assault. Specifically? He's tossing a snowball at anyone who walks by. It really doesn't matter who you are or what you're doing. Just moving past him and his glorious Mount Asshole is enough to earn you a snowball to the face. Have fun dealing with that crap anyway you can.]

Packing his own snow balls. He is going to be throwing back. Smiling the whole time now.]]

[Pokey reacts, but not really quick enough, the snowball hitting him in the shoulder. Usually, he'd possibly bitch or whine about this but, you know what? It's actually nice to have a snowball fight. He'll be ducking back behind his little mountain as he repacks another of his own.]

[Out doing whatever the hell it is he does when people aren't watching. Most likely, he's heading toward the pond to see how frozen it is after a semi-eventful day of clobbering drones in secret. He's wearing a jacket and one of those stupid hats with the earflaps. He can't stand it but it was the only thing he could find in his closet as far as hats go. But with the bat slung over his shoulder, he's clearly recognizable.]

[He prepares to spring at his opponent, trusty snowball in hand and then-

Shit.

Hesitation. Just hesitation right now. He really, really wants to throw a snowball at you Slugger. It is just tempting as all hell. But at the same time, he doesn't really want to be possibly beaten to death. He just has to decide which he wants more.

[[Aaron is going to keep mobile. Pokey had that little mountain of his so Aaron didn't feel too bad having a snowball fight with a smaller kid. Readying another snow ball and keeping in the open to draw fire.]]

[Keeping in the open you say? Yeah, he'll fall for it. He'll duck out from behind his little snow-guard just enough to try and throw another snowball at you Aaron.]

[[Seeing Pokey move, Aaron started running to dodge. Throwing his own snow ball at the first glimpse of a body or face.]]

[Well, his own snowball goes wild as Aaron's hits him pretty squarely in the face. For the moment, he's just kinda standing there, wiping the snow off his face and eyes the best he can.]

[[Laughs a bit in good fun. Starts packing a snow ball again. Though this time he doesn't throw it right away. It's not fun if you don't give the other guy a chance.]]

"Is that your best shot?"

[[Maybe a little good natured taunting will spur him on.]]

[Kyrie is just walking with a cup of coffee, when she notices Pokey building up the mound of snow. She doesn't say anything, but just smiles as she watches him.

...Although the one hand thing does concern her a bit.]

[Taunting? Oh yeah, that's a great way to get Pokey's attention. Of course, in Pokey's world, the words "good natured" can never precede "taunting". He is just glaring up a little storm.]

I'll show you my best shot, jerkface!

[And he'll pack a snowball, running towards Aaron as fast as his chubby little legs'll let him, before aiming and trying to throw the snowball again.]

[Yeah, he'll notice. You know, most kids would maybe wave or say hello to the people they like. Not Pokey.

He'll try and act like a sneaky little bastard before throwing a snowball at you, Kyrie.]

[She notices the snowball and lifts up her free arm, deflecting it without a care.]

[[Aaron sees him charge. Well now the kid doesn't have his mountain to help him.

Aaron tosses his snowball and makes sure to miss. When the kid hits him, he falls backwards into the snow laughing.]]

"Good shot!"

[He thinks to say something, then just shrugs, slowly forming another snowball.]

Eh, I guess. In my own way. Never been a big fan of Christmas, really.

[And Pokey just...pauses for a minute. He doesn't know if you're being sincere, or messing with him or what. For now, he'll just act like this is serious business and start making another snowball, preparing for you to get up.]

[And he's now aware that he isn't currently hiding the stump of where his left hand had been, so he shoves that back into one of his jacket pockets.]

[[Aaron sees him packing, laughs, and scrambles to get up and move. Snow is slippery so Pokey gets another free shot.]]

[Well, he'd be stupid not to take the shot. And, well...yeah. Even he'll admit it. He's having fun. So yep. Totally taking the cheap shot offered to him, actually laughing a little himself now.]

I celebrate it with my family, but that's all. The season is nice admittedly, but I wish it wasn't so cold.

...I kinda like the cold weather, you know? I don't know why, it just seems more inviting then most other seasons.

...Well, that and snow is pretty cool.
