In Which Boredom Reigns Supreme

You know, I tried watching the television today, only to remember just how bad it sucked. Seriously, there's nothing but happy crap on and, I'll tell you, not too interested in that. I'd have gone to the library, but I pretty much read most of the stuff they have in the kids section and there's pretty much little to nothing in any of the other sections friggin' worth anything.

So I was thinking: a lot of you people probably came from some interesting places, or did some interesting things, or know some interesting people, or yada-yada-yada. Basically, I'll cut to the chase: tell me about the places your from or the people you know, cause I'm bored as can be and I'll pretty much take anything as a way to entertain myself. You want a story in return? Fine, I can do that; there's a lot of crazy junk I've seen.

But c'mon. Entertain me. I'm bored here.

[After a small amount of time, Fran emerges from the back of the clinic (which is based out of Ichabod Crane's home) and meets Pokey in the waiting room]

Mister Minch, come with me, and please tell me about your condition.

[She leads him into a room that has been set up further back in the house. The clinic seems simple, clearly being run under the radar. There's some equipment but nothing that would compare to a hospital.]

[He fidgets a little as he follows and talks. Doctors and hospitals have never been a favorite thing of his. The fact that this one is so under the radar doesn't help either.]

Er, well, see...I've been time-traveling for a few hundred years, and apparently that screws up your body. I mean, I knew it would when I started doing it, but I don't know how it's messed up my body, or exactly what's wrong, aside from the fact that I have this crappy cough that comes and goes. ...I kinda thought I got rid of it when I got here, but I got it back after the whole Soviet thing.

[Fran goes through some basic tests while listening to him, pulse, blood pressure, things of the like]

Hmmmm~ Degradation brought on by strain by traveling through time. I've heard theories, though I don't know of any intensive research on it from my world. I'm sure the Professor may have had something, but I don't have access to his database for the time being~ I will see what I can do though~ May I take a blood sample?

[She turns away for a moment and then back again holding a needle and a leather strap]

[The kid is shaking like a leaf, the only thing keeping him from bolting right now being the fact that he doesn't want anyone to think he's a sissy.

Slowly, he turns his head away and puts his arm out.]

[Fran straps the belt on to raise the veins, swabs the inside of his elbow with alcohol, and then inserts the needle to begin taking the blood]

[OOC: Unless Pokey freaks out, she will go on to take two vials worth and then bandage him up]

[He doesn't move, though he lets out a little squeak of pain at the feeling. Still, he can't bring himself to look at how much she's taking, since every moment is torture as far as he's concerned.

He lets out a little sigh as he feels the needle come out and as Fran puts a bandage on his arm.]

Is...is that all?

Yes, that will do~ I will let you know if I find anything. If only I had my lab available, but I'll try to make do~

[She sets the samples aside and tosses out her gloves. As monstrous as she looks, she's clearly very professional]

Uh, how long will that take?

[Due to his childish fears of going to the doctor in general, he hadn't noticed the more monstrous aspects of Fran's appearance. But he's totally staring at the bolt in her head now.]

Two bolts actually, and stitches all over her face and hands

Like what....oh! Yes, everyone keeps asking~ I was created by Professor Madaraki, as were my sisters. He then trained me to assist him in the lab and with his patients~
