"We were friends once. Even if you were annoying, cowardly, and selfish, it was nice having you as a neighbor and some one I could get into trouble with. I don't think you're as far gone as you seem, Pokey. Maybe we're here for a reason. Or maybe our fight is just beginning.. But I'll leave that up to you.."

Ness is Pokey's next door neighbor and best friend from back home. In a way, that's actually fairly loaded as Ness was Pokey's only friend back home. In many ways, Ness is what Pokey is not, and vice-versa: whereas Ness is kind, courageous, generous, free-spirited, and more like a child, Pokey is cruel, cowardly, selfish, and close-minded, although being more world weary. The two would ultimately come to a head when Pokey decided to join with a world ending creature named Giygas that had planned to ravage the two boys world. Ness and his friends would ultimately emerge victorious, and Pokey would retreat, proclaiming revenge on Ness.

Despite this, Pokey seems mainly to have wanted Ness' attention, which is what had led to Pokey's fare more insane actions during the conflict with Giygas. In Mayfield, the two boys have patched up their relationship, due to being united against a common foe.

"Maybe you don't. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't care at all. But there has to be someone left that understands that this just isn't the right way to do things!"

Son of a famous inventor and technological prodigy in his own right, Jeff was a member of the Chosen Four who fought alongside Ness against Giygas and Pokey. While Pokey and Jeff had limited contact during the actual conflict with Giygas, Pokey quickly grew to resent Jeff for forming a stronger friendship with Ness in quite short order then Pokey had managed to do in years. Of the Chosen Four, Jeff is easily the one Pokey hates the most, primarily due to his jealousy of the other boy.

So far, they have limited contact in Mayfield as well, though it's been rather tenuous even with how little there has been. For his part, Pokey's been trying to avoid Jeff the best he can, and can only assume the other boy does the same.

"I don't want you dead. I want you alive. Alive and happy and with friends! Because, then . . . Then it doesn't have to be that way. It doesn't! You . . . You can change! I can change it . . . ! "

A curious boy and one of the first people Pokey spoke with upon arriving in Mayfield, Lucas hails from a future where most of the world was destroyed and the small remainder of mankind lived in a place known as the Nowhere Islands. Life would've been peaceful for Lucas and his family if it hadn't been for Pokey who, in the future, would proceed to decimate and conquer what remained of the Earth for his own amusement to cure the boredom he had due to his eternal life. Needless to say, Lucas wasn't happy for Pokey's arrival in Mayfield, though he'd never been fully hostile to this incarnation of Pokey.

On Pokey's part, Pokey first viewed Lucas with a mixture of curiosity and agitation, angered that the boy would hold something he hadn't yet done against him. As time has gone on and Pokey has learned at least something about empathy (as Lucas had hoped he would), Pokey's come to view Lucas primarily with a feeling of guilt due to what he's destined to do to him. For his part, Pokey's become determined to find a way to stop himself, not really for Lucas' sake as much as Pokey's own terror at the monster he's meant to become.

The two boys aren't on really on casual speaking terms with each other, though they occasionally talk when a situation might come up that forces it. It's unlikely this situation will change in the future.

"So.

Do you like......chocolate pudding?"

The relationship Slugger and Pokey have is a long and bizarre one. The two boys initially started out hostile towards one another, leading to Pokey and Slugger being responsible for the first death each boy suffered in Mayfield. The two would remain generally hostile until October, where there interactions began to develop a slightly lighter undertone to them and the outright hostility began to fade, the two resorting to simply sniping at one another, but also helping the other out on occasion.

By this point, the two boys are certainly friends, and most likely the others best friend. They generally look out for each other the best they can, and they work as one another's confidants on several occasions.

Of course, on being asked if they're friends, the two will deny it vehemently.

"You know how the town is real mean and ruins all the holidays? Well, I figured out how to beat it.

I'm gonna have Easter... two weeks early. That way, they won't be ready for it. And they won't have time to ruin it."

Pokey first met the seven-year old girl Mindy when she was handing out fliers for a pet show she wanted to put on. Originally attempting to ignore the little girl, Pokey found it impossible due to the girl's insistence on getting people's attention and for them to come to the pet show. And, as time went on in town, Pokey found himself spending more and more time with her. It's hard to say exactly what clicked: in part, what small part Pokey retained of having been an older brother before to his own little brother Picky may have been awakened by Mindy.

Whatever it is that happened, Pokey has essentially made himself one of the girls de-facto caretakers, and views her as a little sister. He refuses to let her get hurt again in town, especially after Christmas where the town tricked him into believing Mindy had been killed due to his own misbehavior.

"Of course it does! Flowers make anything look better.

Aisling is a slightly odd case for Pokey. Initially, Pokey only took interest in the fairy girl due to the fact that she was a fellow immortal and wanted to see what her experience was like. While he took interest in Aisling, he really only saw her as someone to occasionally talk to in the hopes of comparing experiences and was otherwise happy to ignore.

As time went on, though, he began to grow more and more interested in the girl, and the original basic interest of just wanting to see what another immortal was like gave way to a genuine interest in knowing more about Aisling. Pokey, being the little social wonder he is, has failed to really get any further in attempting to know more about the girl, though he's been attempting to be a better friend to her as time has gone on.

Oh. And she knows magic. No big deal there though.

"For every opportunity there is a consequence. That is a basic principle in business and life. Whether that consequence is good or bad is to be seen in the future."

Pokey first came into contact with Kyrie around Halloween of his first year in Mayfield. Taken off guard by the woman's apparent warm and nurturing demeanor, as well as her clear intelligence and cunning, Pokey quickly warmed up to Kyrie. In many ways, he's come to view Kyrie as a mother figure, substituting her for the rather lacking relationship he had with his biological mother. In many ways, Pokey came to idolize Kyrie, and if given the chance, will attempt to impress her in the hopes of getting praise from her.

His relationship took on a somewhat different light when, during the highway event in March when Kyrie, then working for Grady as one of the people guarding the highway, ended up killing Pokey for sneaking around. Pokey, unable to comprehend why Kyrie would do this, decided that she must have done what she did as some way of helping him, and that the fault had been entirely his. Anything, really, to ensure he could cling to his idolization.

The experience also reminded Pokey that he had gotten used to trusting people, and needed to remember to be on guard more. Of course, there's no reason for him to let Kyrie notice there actually is a part of him that distrusts her now. The situation has yet to come up again.

"Immortality is not a desirable thing. It seems that way. It's shiny. It's nice. 'I want to live forever'. That's what children think.

A million years from now, you will be the only person left on your planet. A trillion years from now, you will be floating around in space. You will be pained from a lifetime of accumulated damage that never heals. You will lose your mind. You will live the most pitiful existence that has ever been known to man. And this, though it may seem far away, will be quickly accelerated if you ever find yourself caught in a landslide or otherwise trapped by something beyond your strength to move.

If you cannot be killed, I suggest you find a way to change that before these things happen.

Consider it."

Susan is one of Pokey's teachers at the school in Mayfield and, in Pokey's opinion, a nuisance. He's irritated by Susan's impeccable ability to detect when Pokey might be doing something wrong, as well as generally being annoyed by what he considers to be condescension from her. He'd willing attempt to challenge her at anything she proposes in class (and always loses).

He doesn't particularly respect her, but he's willing to keep his mouth shut about how he really thinks about her most of the time. This is due solely to the fact that Susan is Slugger's not!mother in Mayfield, and someone Slugger apparently has a strong bond to. And Pokey would rather not challenge Slugger's patience on the matter of Susan.

Pokey is not exactly fond of Scott. At all.

During his first encounter with the man, Scott appeared to recognize Pokey for no adequately explained reason. Not only this, but Scott was clearly hostile, and appeared to also know facts about Pokey no one else should have really known aside from Pokey himself and a few other people. Pokey'd come to find out that Scott knew Pokey's past due to Pokey having been a video game character in Scott's world.

Scott seems to switch between being hostile and mistrusting of Pokey, and apologetic for not giving Pokey a chance. Pokey is merely annoyed by the man.

Pokey has only gotten to talk with Rika on occasion, but the few discussions he's managed to have with her has peaked his interest in her quite a bit. While he doesn't yet know about her own form of immortality/increased age, he does realize she's far more intelligent/world-weary then kids their age should be, just like he is, as well as her tendency to switch between two different sides of her personality. At the moment, he's happy just to talk to her, though he'd like to figure more out about her.

"How do the words, "Pokey Minch: Genius Supercriminal" sound to you?"

Pokey's known The Riddler since the Riddler arrived for the first time last fall. They've been on good terms since their first meeting, and Pokey was selected by Edward to be one of the first members of the Legion of Doom Edward was founding in Mayfield.

Pokey considers Edward a friend and, to a point, a mentor when it comes to supervillainy. However, Pokey doesn't have anything that could be considered true respect for Edward, and part of Pokey's original trust in him has begun to wane upon hearing some of his latest antics from Lil Slugger, who's also Edward's not!son. The fact that Edward attempted to use the Legion to help him take on a personal rival, as well as Edward's request for Slugger to kill him in the belief it'd help him beat said rival, makes Pokey think the town is getting the best of him.

Pokey might like Eddie. But if he had to? He'd jump ship if necessary.

Ash reminds Pokey a lot of Ness. Both of them seem to look on the brighter side of life and attempt to be as cheerful as possible, and for the most part that annoys the living crap out of Pokey. But at the same time, Pokey can't help but have a weird form of admiration for the boy. While they don't talk particularly often, Pokey views Ash as his friend by this point with how long they've known each other in the town and the fact that Ash is a fellow KND member.

Raz is one of the people Pokey has known longer in Mayfield than most, but still not exactly close with the boy. The two mainly met while the Kids Next Door were still operating in Mayfield, and the two continue to talk to one another from time to time.

While they're chances to speak tend to be sporadic, Pokey would consider Raz one of his friends by this point, though he can't understand how willing the boy could be to forgive during the Truth Serum event when Pokey ended up spilling every horrible act he had performed before then. They may not be close, but Pokey would help Raz if it came to it.

I ain't sayin' you have to like everyone. It's ok to hate people. Just don't make it all that you feel."

Ken was one of the first people Pokey met in Mayfield, and one of the first people to even welcome him to the town. Like most people who show a chipper, happy side, Pokey decided to be annoyed with the man practically immediately. Thing is, it became harder and harder to avoid Ken, and the man's constant interactions and interest in Pokey during Pokey's first year in Mayfield were some of the few positive interactions the boy had. In fact, Ken would be the first person Pokey would ever tell about his past crimes in an attempt to get the man to hate him and leave him alone shortly after the Dairy incident.

Pokey and Ken haven't spoken much since then, but when they do Ken has remained as positive as ever. He'd never admit it, but Pokey's even come to like the times he gets to speak with Ken, as rare as they've gotten.

"Most people are hellbound."

A girl who's duty is to help bring the damned to hell, Pokey still isn't sure what to think of her. His first impression of her was that she was too quiet and too nosy, and had no idea what to make of her except finding her annoying. As it's come to pass, the fact that she's friends with Aisling and Slugger has caused him to at least attempt to deal better with her rather than the annoyance he chose to show her when they first started interacting.

While he still wouldn't call her his friend yet, Pokey at least sees Ai as another person, and he's gone from interacting with her simply for Slugger's sake to interacting with her because he might as well. He's also relatively certain Slugger has some kind of crush on her, and if he can see anything to verify it would be something Pokey would use to poke fun of Slugger to no end.

An AI trapped in a human body, Pokey has had a bizarre relationship with GLaDOS. As with many of Pokey's relationships, his with GLaDOS began with murderer, specifically Pokey's when the boy ended up hitting her with a wrench to try and get the woman to go away. And, like most of the people who've murdered him, Pokey's relationship with her has somehow ended up evening out.

At the moment, GLaDOS serves as Pokey's science teacher and is currently helping him rebuild his mech, Josephine, after she was destroyed by Black Mage. Quite a step up, considering the reason Pokey attack GLaDOS the first time was because the woman trying to get a look at a Sentry Pokey had been taught to make.
