[The day after this delightful exchange, Pokey is understandably kind of on edge. And, being Pokey, he deals with that as well as one could expect.

[Hey not!family. Today you'll find Pokey searching and rummaging through every square inch in and around outside the house. And I mean every square inch. He is, quite paranoidly, looking in every cupboard, out every window, in every closet, and pretty much going everywhere he can in the house, searching. Whatever he's searching for, he doesn't seem particularly content with the results.

Which is why he's also searching around everywhere outside.

Over. And over. And over again. Just going over everything repeatedly, as if expecting something to pop out at him each time or something different to happen.]

So. Alright.

Let's say you have pretty ample suspicion that someone is spying on and/or stalking you. Anyone got any good ideas on, you know, how to avoid it or catch the guy doing it? Like, you've never seen the person stalking you before for certain, but you know they're there?

I mean. Not that I have a problem. It's just kind of a question of interest.

[Her smile narrowed a little, repressing a fair amount of the glee it showed not too long ago. This is a situation that concerned the boy's mortality and she realized how callous she was being. Clod paused for a moment and looked out at the window, trying to find thoughts that just may have been kind enough to pass by.]

You're safe in this house. God doesn't forgive any mage who thinks he can make a mess of her home.

[A green, spherical grid appears around Clod's body just as her skin begins radiating a brighter shade of green, the symbolic color of the "Normal" attribute. At the same time, a red, spherical grid is drawn up around Pokey's body. Red, of course, is the symbolic color of the "Mirage" attribute.]

What is magic anyway? In simplest form, it's the mind channeling the body's innermost power into pure energy.

This is the main essence of the Mirage attribute, your dominant attribute, and it's the perfect defense against "magic".

[Clod continues to send power into Pokey's body, tapping into his Mirage attribute. Further into the creation process, a two-dimensional image of an eye, which almost looks like a summoning circle, flashes before the boy. Schools of red jellyfish, similar to the ones that helped support Josephine, formed from within the center of the eye.]

[Pokey just watches the display for a moment. She'd done it to him once before, briefly, and he'd seen her summon her "familiars", for a lack of a better term, other times then just with Josephine.

It's still cool, each time he sees it.]

[It wasn't as noticeable with Luke mostly since she limited the amount of power channeled into his body. He wasn't given any resistance to physical attacks save for his legs that could grow hacksaws. It would be much more noticeable if Clod gave Pokey total resistance against magic or, say, the ability to reflect it.

It was a matter of bringing out the powers of his latent, dominant attribute and its side-effects vary based on the demand. Asking to fuse Silhouette and Mirage is also out of the question as that was exactly what caused those experiments and disasters back in Clod's world. She could do that, of course, but...

Regardless, there were enough jellyfish now created to monitor the entire house. Their spheres disappeared once the process ended and Clod mentally ordered the school to disperse. Some flew outside into the lawn or higher into the roof and others remained inside the house. Don Paolo should get a kick out of that.]

[And it'd be...well, useful. But at the same time, it could also mean he might owe Clod something in the future. And while he liked her, he hated being in the debt of others. It was something he'd only do if he thought it'd be really beneficent or necessary.

[She gave him a smile. They were single-minded, sure, but they knew how to be useful every now and then. The jellyfish were like machines except a lot more versatile with what they could do as "life".]

I made it so that one or two would follow you whenever you're outside. But honestly, if at all possible?

It would be easier to smash up that mage's house right now. Just... to give him a warning.
