I wanted to take this off the board to continue the conversation without any possible color commentary.

If I do come over, if you're okay with it still. I will warn you I'm kind of in charge of all the animals right now. Harold the rat, you've met. Mephisto my dog. Lightner, Sasha's dog and Deathbringer, Eddie's weird psychic cougar. It's kinda of a dumb zoo.

I'm not the best with most animals, but I don't mind. If they're hanging with you I'll take that to vouch that they're cool, and I already met Harold. All I've got pet wise is a few of those spiders that'd been making boat sails a couple months back. Kind of just let them roam around where they please, FYI.

I'm glad no one so far has tried to be the morality police about me saying I was gonna stay over with you. I'm not in the mood right now. If Bertie says anything I'll glitter bomb him again.

Lightner and Deathbringer are idiots. I'll give you that heads up. They're okay after a walk or some attention at least.

Spiders are cool. I'll try to keep my doofuses in line so they don't bother the spiders. I'll try not to overstay my welcome either.

Deathbringer will let you look him over, he's just too docile to really do much but flop over at being pet. He never uses his abilities, like ever.

[Eliza drops off the DVD in Pokey's mailbox personally, not wanting to get the Mailsloth involved. The cover shows several magical girls in various types of outfits posing happily with a small blob creature alongside them, with a title saying "Magical Girl Raising Project." A subtitle mentions that this is the final season of the show.

The DVD contains the full details of what happened during Eliza's time in Town A, although events happening in deadland, the traitor's room, and Zange's room are not shown. There's also a sticky note attached.]

I don't really want to tell you everything that happened there directly. So at least Len making entertainment out of all the things that happened to us is of some use here. If you have more questions I can answer them.

October 10

[Pokey gives the DVD a watch. Then he gives the series a second go, and a third. Watches through the events again and again. There was a time where he would have loved something like this. Would have found it entertaining to the extreme.

But now, it just sickens him. Let alone to see Eliza be put through it.

He wonders about if he should even say anything about it. Lets it sit for a few days, before he ultimately decides he has to say something.]

Maybe you don't want to tell them all to me directly.

But if you want, I'd still like to talk face to face. You don't have to.

Action (October 12)

[Eliza is a bit hesitant after first receiving the letter, and spends a whole day just walking around, thinking about it. Finally, on the afternoon of October 12, she knocks carefully on Pokey's door.]

[Pokey doesn't get visitors that frequently. There's only a few people he expected to hear from at his home, and he had been waiting for Eliza.

He opens the door for her.]

Yo. Come on in.

[And he moves out of the way so the girl can make her way into the house.]

My dad wants to invite you over to a family dinner. Would you be interested? I said we were sort of dating. Experimenting didn't mean anything to him, so I had to use dating. Hopefully that doesn't make you feel weird or anything.

We'll probably have it in a few days. If you wanna bail just tell me and we can make up some excuse.

[For a moment, Pokey is stunned by the Note. He's tempted to tell Lili finding an idea to ditch would be for the best, because at first he can't even process this.]

I don't mind you explaining it that way. I mean, if dating is the best way to explain what's happening, that's fine. I get it. That doesn't feel weird.

So. I'm down. What date you want to do this? Need me to bring anything?

Good, I didn't- wanna make this weird for you? God that's so weird to say make you uncomfortable. I like you, Pokey. I don't want you to, I dunno get weirded out. We're doing our own thing that my dad doesn't really get.

At least he isn't making you fill out paperwork like he did the last people I dated. He was joking but I couldn't really tell then.

[Eliza steps in, looking around and smiling just the tiniest bit.] Hi Pokey. I...I think it'd be easier to explain things in person. I...still haven't really written down any of what happened. [She still doesn't know how she'd write it down, either. Not to mention her diary...]

You don't have to write anything down. I can do that.

[Pokey closes the door behind Eliza as she comes in. Pokey's house is oddly clean and simple in comparison to everything else about the teen. Gentle white walls, furniture that looks like it came from the 50s. The only real touch that seems like Pokey is a few of the spiders ambling about the walls and counters.]

If you want to just talk, and even have it off the record, I can do that.

You're not someone who should have had to go through that.

[Reading through the crossed-off lines isn't that hard for him. A part of him wonders about whether he should even try to subtly nudge at or acknowledge anything in them, and decides naw, it's probably for the best to not touch them quite that way yet. Even if they just dredge up the cockiest smile on his part.]

That's a little bit of a rough order but hey. I think I can squeeze it in.

Nothing uncomfortable about it. Besides, I like your dad.

That's a shame. I could probably get it done and hand the work to him in triplicate in a hour, if he was still going that route.
