[At first, there's just silence over the phone, like someone knocked it over and forgot to put the receiver back up. Finally, after a few moments of this and of fake starts, Pokey finally speaks.]

So, with all the stupid age crap going on, I got a question for you people.

If you could stay one age, forever, would you? Or would you choose to keep aging?

Because, I mean, why wouldn't you want to stay the same age, right? I mean, it's pretty much immortality, and you wouldn't really miss out on anything by not getting older or anything. Really, you'd be doing better then them, right? So yeah.

Sorry, stupid question. Because it's not like anyone WOULDN'T take immortality when given the option. Because everyone would choose immortality.

Right?

Because if I were older, people would take me seriously. And I haven't had my growth spurt yet.

I guess it would be kinda neat to live forever, though. You'd have time to do everything!

But then what would you do if you got paralyzed or something? Or, say got into a psychic battle and had your mind shattered so badly that it gave you several split personalities? I don't think I'd wanna be stuck like that for all of eternity.

Ha! Psychonauts are elite psychic warriors! International secret agents, sent to do battle with the enemies of free thought! I'm a Psychonaut, ya know.

That's kinda why you'd prepare in case events that could cause that came up so you could preempt them.

No one trains there. They're there, but there's really, really few of them.

...Well, I take that back. There's really few in the country I'm from. They're more common from Mu, and I think they have like, friggin' dojos and great old masters who teach them there.

Then they just friggin' band together and go after them. It's rare when something big enough shows up to actually be dangerous. I don't think we've had a war where I'm from in...centuries, really.

No wars? Man, you guys are lucky. There's always somebody trying to take over the world, or kidnapping some important politician, or threatening to blow up the moon where I come from. There's a lot more psychics, but there's still lots of people who think we're all freaks.
