[At first, there's just silence over the phone, like someone knocked it over and forgot to put the receiver back up. Finally, after a few moments of this and of fake starts, Pokey finally speaks.]

So, with all the stupid age crap going on, I got a question for you people.

If you could stay one age, forever, would you? Or would you choose to keep aging?

Because, I mean, why wouldn't you want to stay the same age, right? I mean, it's pretty much immortality, and you wouldn't really miss out on anything by not getting older or anything. Really, you'd be doing better then them, right? So yeah.

Sorry, stupid question. Because it's not like anyone WOULDN'T take immortality when given the option. Because everyone would choose immortality.

One doesn't have to have already lived longer than others to realize the implications. Only men far worse than monsters would long for the assurance that they would live eternally, even after those they deemed important had long since withered and died.

And only an out and out coward would WANT to die.

And there are only two, maybe three people I know I consider worth anything, and I'll never really see them regardless. So that's a moot point. Only a fool would place many people above their own wants and desires.

I don't fear death. But if there is a means to subvert it, why not use it? If you have the power and want to do something, you have every right to do it.

I've met men that have willingly chosen to be immortal. They were worthless specters of mankind, driven solely by fear and a lust for power of the likes not meant for men. They even made a killer like myself seem warmhearted.

Then they're stupid. And a few men doesn't equate to everyone who would make that choice, only the small subgroup you know.

I don't mean that they're idiotic for isolating themselves. After all, earnestly caring for anything aside from yourself is impossible, and saying you do is a lie.

They're stupid for letting fear and power be their motivator, rather then simply doing it because they knew they wanted to. After all, with eternal life, think of all the things you could see and do. And there is an infinite amount of things to see and do.

Shut your friggin' mouth! The only person in my family worth a crap is my little brother and he's.....he's not here, and....

[He struggles to try and phrase "my brother is better off without me", but he doesn't want to give some douche he just met the benefit of hearing that.]

...And so it doesn't matter. I'll never be able to see him again anyway, and without being able to take care of him, there's little reason to have any bond to anyone else.
